Hazirah's first step here in UKM
My journey in UKM begin when I got an offer to further my degree through UPU in UKM. UKM was my first choice. Wonder why ? It is because UKM is the only university that use Bahasa Melayu as learning language. And UKM is one of top 5 University in Malaysia and the best part is, I live near here. It is easier for me to come and go from home to campus since I have to take care of my parents. They not get any younger and all my siblings already have their own family, their own life. Since I'm the last one in the family, I should stay nearby so that if anything happen, I can be there for them as soon as possible. The online registration for UKM was simple and easy. They gave us 2 weeks to settle all the documents and registration.

DAY-1

DAY-2
Today, our program was held at DECTAR. I was so excited because this is first time I went there. We woke up early in the morning and have a breakfast. It's rainy and we have to walk from KAB to DECTAR since the bus was not prepared for us. KAB to DECTAR was about 1KM, which is 20 minutes walking. I find it nice that everyone share umbrella with those who didn't bring it, even though this was just second day being together. I can see affection between us.

At DECTAR, I was surprised by the sea of 4000 people in one hall. Student from other college like KKM, KPZ, KRK and others were gathered together . They even turn on zoom meeting so that student from campus Kuala Lumpur and Cheras can joined us in Bangi. I am impressed the way they set up the place like thousands of chair, the sound system, the live camera, impressive.

Today's program was "Pembukaan Minggu Apresiasi Watan" which was launched by the vice chancellor and continue with "Interaksi bersama Pusat Tanggungjawab" . To be honest, the talks was great, I get more knowledge and information about UKM. But since I'm on my period, I get tired while holding my pain. So I fell asleep. One of the BSMM let me rest, I am happy with the service that I got. Like, usually, when there's a program like this, student have to bare with the pain, keep their problem a secret since no one going to help. But during MAW, I'm very satisfied with the way they treat new comers like us. My impression was " oh, what a great standard that UKM have !" Small matter like this make me feel more passion to be part of UKM.
We spent whole day in DECTAR. highlights of the day for me was Icon Talk by UKM's alumni. All of them was a successful and come from a different background. One of them was the CEO of bulan bintang, Azzim Zahid Azmi and one of badminton player that I adore, Ameer Zainuddin. Their story were very inspiring and make me more motivated to study hard and become like one of them one day. All of them showed us a slide of their journey and some of them even show us their worked live on stage !!

DAY-3
This is my faculty.
Today, our orientation continue at faculty. I'm so happy and grateful that my faculty was right in front of my residential college. I can't describe how grateful I am because UKM is huge and our main transportation is bus. Every place actually are walkable, but it is so far to each other. So I'm glad that I can walk less than 5 minutes to arrived at my faculty. Here, I got more knowledge about FEP. I know about the facility, and about courses that I'm taking, which is Business Administration. I find out that in UKM, during second year, student BBA can choose their preferred field like financial, international business, risk and more. I also find out that UKM actually offer Accounting course, but have to come from BBA. That's mean during my first year, I still got time to decided what I want to specialize in, since I still don't have any clear path to my future.

At night, we went to Masjid Universiti for maghrib and isya' prayer plus Malam Cinta Rasul since today was Maulidurrasul. I surprised how big the masjid was. Like, It can fit more than 4000 thousand people !!

DAY-4
We start our morning with breakfast like always. I impressed actually with a generous amount of food that UKM serve us. They provided food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper and they gave us a lot of bread and water. We will never starving during the whole MAW.

After finish breakfast, we walked to Dataran Dewan Gemilang to our program today which is UKM CERGAS. We have to do aerobic exercise with UKM's management team. We had a productive morning by walking for 1.8KM from KAB to Dewan Gemilang. So far ! Yet the aerobic is fun !!

But I hate that the program end late, the sun already above the head and its so hot !! I'm glad we don't have to walk back to KAB instead, we got to ride a bus for the first time. After that we continue our program at residential college.

After asar prayer, we do bonding activity among us. It's such a fun activities because we get to know each other a little more. We divided into 10 groups and each group have to create their own flag and cheers. I'm in group number 9. I'm so happy that I get to socialize with some new friends and get some knowledge about team building activity. For this activity I dont have any photo to share since we were not allow to use our phone.
After maghrib, we went to stadium UKM by bus. Here, we have sport activity and parade from every residential college. I'm so excited tonight because student from campus Kuala Lumpur and Cheras also joined us. To show support to our college representative, we wear KAB's t-shirt and we draw our face with KAB's color which is blue and yellow. We also hold a banner to show support.
Every college show a really good show. I'm impressed that they can do a really good performance even though they only practice for a short period.

Parade ended with Malaysian's athlete under UKM. There's athlete badminton like Ameer Zainuddin, futsal team and also our youngest Malaysian diver to champion two senior international competitions, Nur Dhabitah Sabri also joined us that night. That was the first time I saw her with my two eyes. I'm so happy and excited !!
And remember that I said about how much I adore Ameer Zainudin ? He came to our college and wanted to take a photo with us since he used to stay in Kolej Aminuddin Baki !
DAY - 5
Today is the last day of MAW. I woke up with a mix feelings. Happy, sad, anxious, excited, all the emotions mixed up. I knew I will cherish this moment forever and I'm sad that it came to the end. But I am happy because I can finally rest and start my journey in UKM properly. For today's event, we had to wear blue baju kurung, hijab and UKM's scarf. For the guy, they have to wear white shirt with UKM's tie. Today's program was Bacaan Ikrar and Amanat Naib Canselor that held at DECTAR. Here, we we pledged and we officially became student of UKM. It was a wonderful moment full with laugh and tears.
The event ended around afternoon and we go back to our college to lunch and get ready for the last event of MAW which is Konser Disini Lahirnya Sebuah Cinta. For those who involved with the concert, they have to practice at DECTAR while those who didn't, we prepared ourself with learn more cheers and team building. We have to united for tonight's event.
We went to DECTAR after maghrib. Every college look like prepared as well for tonight event. The concert started and what I can say is the whole performance was PERFECT. It have almost same level as the one that I went at Istana Budaya !! The acting, singing, dancing, the whole performance was jaw dropped for me. Knowing that they only practiced less than 3 days ? Amazing !! What make the concert more fun that higher management team of UKM like Vice Chancellor joined the performance !! They event performed a song !! what a sporting management of UKM. I never saw this happen in other university.

The concert ended and clock show almost 12 am. We didn't leave DECTAR yet but instead, we cheers our lung out. As the seniors told us, this is the best event of MAW which is called " Perang DEKTAR ". This happen every year during first year's orientation. All college was screaming their cheers loud !! It's so tiring but happening !! I never been in this kind of situation before !! when time show 12 am, the light and air-cond was turned off. But all the student continue cheering to fight each other. Crazy !! Everyone became more energetic when UKM's Ultra Boys keep cheering and played the drum. KAB was the third college that go back after KTSN and KTDI since its too hot in there and our PC don't one any of us passed out. It was such a good experience and a very good way to start my journey in UKM.
